The smushed-over face works much better here than on the prez and veep. In my opinion, of course.
How's the slump? If it's still slumpy, try this: Get all the paint you can round up - house paint, spray paint, old acrylics, everything. Pick a wall and just go nuts. No plan, no agenda. If you don't have a wall you can decorate that way, get a piece of plywood.
Thanks Melissa! Things have been kind of quiet around here lately--good to hear from someone new! I checked out your site and you've got some interesting work. I especially like the Paper Mache stuff. I'm been thinking lately about doing some kind of paper craft business of my own.

Well, it works for me.
The president and the VP was pretty much a failure. I posted it here, because, even a failed attempt is better than no attempt.
ReplyDeleteThe slump is still very slumpy. Not that I don't try! Though I've accomplished a few things here and there because of necessity. But they aint great.
The paint a wall idea probably won't go over so well with my Gal Friday, because we just don't have that kind of wall in the house to spare.
But I got canvases! I bought some big canvases and they scare the hell out of me.
Lately I've been concentrating more on writing...
Wow, all this talk of slumpiness and walls as canvases. It doesn't sound too good---the slumpy part, but very exciting---the wall painting part.
ReplyDeleteI just found you on Drawn and came to see who you are. Beautiful work and beautiful cheshire cat.
I did one years ago as a business card and made him more personified with human hands. I love your version.
Cheers.
